• This engaging and interactive course is geared for both general and special education teachers working with students with special needs.  Topics that will be covered include:

    • The theory behind positive as opposed to traditional methods of behavior management.
    • A variety of both individual and group strategies to prevent negative behaviors from occuring in the first place.
    • Collecting and using data to drive behavioral intervention.
    • Ways to reinforce students for positive behaviors and develop an appropriate hierarchy of consequences.
    • Specific strategies to teach students critical skills necessary so that they can manage their own behavior.
